I am trying to install VAP in my machine. But the server is not runing, I have following the below steps
1. Installed tomcate 5.x in C drive (I tried different versions of tomcat)
2. Installed DB2 8.0 in the Same Drive
3. Created a database for VAP
4. Installed VAP also choosen Tomcat folder and DB2 Folder.

I am new to Vignette products. I am working  on a Vignette portal  project that has an architecture with only VAP. There is another CMS server that is used instead of VCM. I installed VAP 7.3 in my local environment and checking over product features. I have developed jsf- based portlet application with jsr-168 specification.

Need your help on how to create portal console 7.3 admin account. During the installation, I noted the username and password for the portal admin account but when I tried to log-in to portal console, the admin account is not able to log-in successfully. I tried running the \bin\create_first_admin_account script but still unable to log-in. This script will be used if the admin account was created. So I don't think this solves my problem. By the way, I am using SQL, not LDAP authentication.

In which version of Vignette Portal will vignette support JSR-268 portlets?

How do I refresh the portlets?

Lets say I have a page in which there are 4 portlets. After submitting a form in the active portlet I should be able to refresh other three portlets. Is there any api or tags to do this?

I would appreciate if anyone can respond to this question.
