how to create a static site in VAP/DPM

Hello all,
I am just starting to learn V7. Long time user of V6 and I was trying to figure out how to run a static site through VAP/DPM. Is there any documentation or instructions someone can point me to?

U can create a static static
U can create a static static site ,using VAP 7.x configuring if with DPm 2.0.x with the same dns site name.

DPM is used by VAP to talk to VCM, so if you are using DPM you have to use VCM too.
So, you will be using VAP/DPM/VCM.
I fail to understand why users spend the investment on this kind of infrastructure just to run a static site, unless you have further plans.
