Vignette Content Management 7.5

Vignette has announced new versions of Vignette Content Management (VCM) 7.5, Vignette Dynamic Site Module (DSM) 7.5, and Vignette Dynamic Portal Module (DPM) 7.5, which enable organizations to create, manage, and deliver content across multiple customer touch points.
The 7.5 release includes enhanced search, Friendly URLs, and skip-level upgrades.

This release continues to build on the core technologies that power the Web Experience Platform.

What's New in This Release

Friendly URLs: : Increase your DSM/DPM site rankings in major search engines using our state of the art automatic Friendly Url support. Easily create promotion style Friendly Urls in a couple of clicks using an intuitive user interface designed for business users.
Search enhancements: : Enables customers to configure common meta data for search across multiple content types. Also includes customizable indexing and a new version of Autonomy (IDOL 7).
Skip-level Upgrade: : Significantly reduces the steps necessary to upgrade from older environments. Supports upgrading to 7.5 from 7.3.0.5, 7.3.1, 7.3.1.1, or 7.4.
Extensible Templating Menu (DSM/DPM):: Allows you to extend the In-context management menus to create an experience tailored to your users and business processes.
Multi-Select Component and Multi-Select COE:: A new Content Component Type that allows managing an ordered list of content instances in a page region.
Personal Home Page Enhancements: Allows you to configure buttons in the Personal Home Page by turning them on and off.
